Hi! Welcome to the Easy getting started poems. To start all you need to do is know how to rhyme! Bat, cat, mat. Pretty easy! Just put it into a piece that is funny! Funny is the most easy way to put it, but you can do other kinds.
Here is what to do as you get started....

Remember every second line has to rhyme.
It has to make sence, it cant be ; I love to skip, I'd love to go on a ship. Because it doesnt make sence try something like : I love to skip, I will make sure I dont trip!
Be carefull that you stay on the subject, if the subject is cats.. be carefull that you dont go into dogs!
Then plan an idea! Make is simple, find the title make the idea. Go to the idea page for some ideas.
Then write your plans on some paper, double space so that you can edit it, spell check it, etc.
Then the next step is polishing it! Do everything you can to make your words more discriptive it will make your poem more exciting and fun to read! Go to editing for information about editing and polishing. Use a theosourus.
